March is "Magical" month here at Garfield. On March 7th. we have a very special magic show scheduled as part of rewarding the students for a successful fundraiser from last October. Our Spring Book Fair family event also focuses on magic. "Every book is a magical book" is the theme for our entertainment that evening. A magician is visiting our school to perform a show for the students on Book and Blanket night. This family event will be held on March 22nd from 5:45-7:30 pm. All children will receive a free book for attending and
refreshments will be served. Our Book Fair will be held in the School Library and will be open during Book and Blanket Night. All families are encouraged to visit the "luau in the library" and shop through a variety of books.
Thank you to those families who participated in our Spring Fundraiser. "Mixed Bag Designs" brought our school profits of over $1300.
Thanks to the parent reps., classes have field trips scheduled. The students are joining in the fun of walking or rolling to school and arriving safely, thanks to Gil and his team of traffic guards. The PTA encourages every family to join us in keeping Garfield students safe and leaving them with lasting memories.
